Ulderico Di Caprio starts MSCA secondment at ETH Zürich
Our MSCA Postdoctoral Fellow Ulderico Di Caprio is spending a research secondment as a guest researcher in the Energy and Process Systems Engineering group of Prof. André Bardow at ETH Zürich, as part of his Marie Skłodowska-Curie project CoAUTHOR.
Ulderico Di Caprio joined the Process Intelligence Research group at TU Delft in January 2026 with his Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship CoAUTHOR – COntext-informed AUtomaTic cHemical prOcess geneRation. In CoAUTHOR, he develops a physics-informed, context-aware reinforcement learning agent that designs and retrofits process flowsheets for the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
Since August 2026, Ulderico has been visiting the Energy and Process Systems Engineering (EPSE) group of Prof. André Bardow in the Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering at ETH Zürich. The secondment is part of the fellowship and remains hosted by our group at TU Delft. During his stay, he combines AI with thermodynamics and process systems engineering to make chemical process design more autonomous and physically aware.
We thank the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions for making this research exchange possible, and the EPSE group for hosting Ulderico.
