DigiCo - Digitization Companion

In November 2024, we introduced DigiCo - Digitization Companion, our AI-based software for the digitization of engineering documents such as Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs).

DigiCo builds on several years of research in our group on computer vision for engineering diagrams. It recognizes symbols, lines, text and tables on P&IDs and converts them into machine-readable formats such as the DEXPI standard. At the time of this announcement, we were preparing a first beta version and opened a waiting list for early access.

Update (2026): DigiCo is now being developed into prototype software for Smart P&IDs, and a first beta release is planned for early 2027. Read more on the DigiCo software page.
