Tanuj Karia joined the Process Intelligence Research group as a postdoctoral researcher in November 2023. His PhD was on tailoring formulations to accelerate the deterministic global optimization of mixed-integer nonlinear programs. In the group, he used his optimization expertise to enable the optimization of complex process systems modeled with a combination of mechanistic and machine learning models, including Kolmogorov-Arnold networks.
