Lukas Schulze Balhorn was a PhD student in the Process Intelligence Research group. He worked on knowledge extraction, optimization and machine learning in chemical engineering, with a focus on generative AI and the autocorrection of engineering diagrams, and co-developed the open-source package pyDEXPI.
The public defence of his dissertation "Autocorrection of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams using Artificial Intelligence" is scheduled for 20 November 2026 at TU Delft.
