Hackathon

Last week, our entire PI research group packed up and headed to Zeeland for something a bit different – a week-long hackathon focused on AI for process systems engineering and design.

But the most beautiful part of the experience came from living together as a team for a full week. Every evening, we cooked homemade dinners together, sharing recipes from all over the world.

We took walks along the coast to clear our heads after hours in front of screens. Those walks led to the kinds of conversations that only happen when everyone’s a little tired but still excited about what they’re building. For the more adventurous among us, there were even early morning runs against the North Sea wind and swimming sessions in the cold seawater!

Overall, it was an amazing experience that enriched everyone and strengthened the bonds within our team.
